2010 Reading Challenges - Please post here!

I thought it would be helpful to have all of those 2010 reading challenges in one spot. I know I already signed up for some good ones.

In response to my genre post, I decided to run a genre challenge. Try to read as many different genres as you can in 2010. You can find the details on my blog: genre challenge

Here are two I've joined:

The GLBT Challenge 2010! The Challenge that Dare Not Speak its Name. "The basic idea of this challenge is to read books about GLBT topics and/or by GLBT authors."

aaaand

Awesome Authors Challenge. "The idea behind this challenge is to read works by authors who have been recommended to you time and again, yet somehow you haven't managed to read any books by those authors. These are the authors that everyone else tells you are awesome, thus the "Awesome Author Challenge" title."

:)
The GLBT Challenge is great. I've been a little lax in updating my reads, but I signed up for that one earlier this summer.
Do you know about A Novel Challenge? We are a blog that has been around for quite awhile. We are an information only blog that lists book challenges and events going on around the blogisvere. You can find us here: http://novelchallenges.blogspot.com/

Someone hosted a Genre Challenge in 2009. I don't know if she plans on hosting it again in 2010. I will list your challenge.
I'm hosting my very first reading challenge in 2010! It's called 30 Books To Movies, and the goal is to read 30 books that have been adapted into movies, and watch said movies. At the end of the challenge, I'll randomly pick 2 participants to receive some goodies For more info, click here.
Wow these all sound great! The GLBT genre could definitely be a new genre for me for my genre challenge. I'll make sure that the category is listed.

@ Teddy: No I didn't know about your blog, but I will check it out for sure. Anything to increase my temptation to read! It would be great if you listed my challenge. I hope to see you there!

Happy Reading
Heather

I'm hosting TAKE THE JOURNEY 2010 READING CHALLENGE. I've set up a group here at Book Blogs as home base. Come check out the challenge. Or you can check it out on my blog, BETWEEN THE PAGES.
I didn't see in your challenge description if we can double dip books for other challenges. If so, I'm in! I read several children's books a day. I work at an elementary school and I have 3 kids and we all love to read together. I will only count each new book though since I read the same book multiple times at both work and home.

Happy Reading!

Yes, anything you've read for other challenges in 2010 can also be used in the Take The Journey Challenge as well. I believe that is fair and allows participants to enjoy more than one challenge at a time.
Bookmarking ALL these challenges to post later. These all sound so great!
I'm hosting one... my site is www.WhatYouReadingNow.blogspot.com
