Awesome! I haven't read the books or seen the show, I'll have to check it out :)
Have you heard about the amazing League of Extraordinary Gentle — Men of la — Book Challenge (Vol. 1)?
I haven't decided yet in how many reading challenges I will participate, but I will definately participate in The Book Blogger Recommendation Challenge 2012 hosted by Reading with Tequila. The challenge is to read books from a list of books recommended by bloggers. I participated in this year's challenge and I discovered some great books!
You can check out the list here.
I hope to read through 100 books next year - we'll see!
I am trying to limit myself because I hardly ever actually finish a challenge..lol. So far I am only signed up for the YA debut author challenge and then I started a challenge myself because I met this really nice author who has written for a lot of major tv shows but you don't really hear much about him so I wanted to try and put out the word about him.
Its called the Jeff Mariotte Reading Challenge. Jeff has written novels based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural, CSI, 30 Days of Night..... :)
I pretty much love all of the above, I'll definitely be checking that out!
I have never done a challenge before, but looking at some of yours, it sounds like great fun! Does anyone have suggestions for a first-timer? Also, what if you think you have a cool idea for a challenge?
I'm hosting and participating in these two:

It will provide readers with the chance to explore the diverse literature of our world. Its a year challenge but will be done quarterly. Check it out @ http://sidnereviewz.blogspot.com
A group of bloggers and I are hosting a TBR pile Challenge for 2012. The goal is to read as many books that have been on your TBR list from 2011 and earlier. We are having mini challenges each month that you can participate in and are giving away 1 book a month as well as a huge prize in December 2012. I hope you check it out!
I've signed up for a few TBR pile challenges so I hope this motivates me to decimate that mountain once and for all. Or at least get it down in the 10 to 20 books range. I've also joined a couple challenges for the classics and medieval reading that can be fulfilled on my e-Reader's collection so I won't be adding to the pile or be distracted by library visits.
