As this is a community for book bloggers, I thought it would be a good idea to get a post going where bloggers can discuss their blogs. Ideally feel free to comment with the title and a link to your blog as well as a brief summary of what kinds of material you generally blog about (e.g. young adult, nonfiction, romance etc.).

I've been blogging on my current site, The Lousy Poet, for about 3 or so years. It started as a site to post my original writing, but has now changed into a mash of book reviews, poetry, word of the day for vocabulary buidling and a whack of personal thoughts on life, writing, art, and the world at large. Every day I think I've narrowed down what the blog will be, I post something to it that plunges it back into anarchy ;)

My blog is at http://margayleahjustice.com. It is my author page where I blog about writing, my book, contests I might come across on the web, places I might visit on my virtual tour. Basically, anything to do with writing and reading.

My Book Chook blog shares my passion for children's literacy and literature. I have tips for adults who want to encourage kids to read, write and enjoy it. I have short book reviews of whatever children's books take my fancy or are sent to me for review.

Although I don't exactly call bookpleasures.com a blog, I guess it could be classified as such. The site is updated quite often as it comprises over 30 international reviewers that come from all walks of life and that review all genres. We also have author interviews and other news from the world of books. Started in 2004, we have posted over 3000 reviews and over 450 author interviews.

Just in passing, we are always on the lookout for new reviewers. This is an excellent way to receiving complimentary books and network with some very interesting authors and publishes.

My blog is called Literary Escapism and its primary focus is paranormal fiction, but it's a place where I can review any novels I read. I read a lot of Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and Fantasy, but I don't limit myself to that. Here's my tagline:

"Welcome to my alternate reality. Escaping into new worlds, meeting new characters and exploring different societies is the only way we have of leaving the harsh reality of life behind us...if only for a little bit."

I started this exactly one year ago as a way to save my sanity. I'm a SAHM who used to work a lot, so staying home gave me a lot of free time I wasn't used to. I love to share my thoughts on various novels and this is where I do it. I also share any industry news I can find - since I'm interested in it, then I assume others are as well.

I started my blog Full Steam Ahead to keep my sister who's in the US, a part of my life in Singapore. It still covers everything I love and enjoy, but it quickly evolved into a book blog. It's not devoted to any one genre but covers everything I read.

Do stop by when you're in the neighbourhood and we'll have tea.

I've started (and failed) with several blogs in the past, but perhaps just because I wasn't really blogging about what I loved - books. So, I decided, instead of having a craft blog where I sometimes blogged about books, or a life blog where I sometimes blogged about crafts, I am going to have a book blog where I sometimes blog about life and crafts. This is the only combination that I haven't tried, and to be honest, the difference is obvious after only 3 days. I'm already making friends and joining challenges. I'm really excited about the progress I've made and the community I've joined. Finding this group is just one example!

Book Bird Dog started out as a book/garden/pet blog but became mostly books, especially mystery and cozy mystery novels written by women authors about women sleuths, women detectives, PIs, gardeners, pet vets, antiques collectors, archaeologists ... you name it, anything a woman can do by way of solving crimes and puzzles. .

I blog about some of the books I come across at The Book Faery Reviews. I participate in book blog tours, review books from author/publisher requests, and share some other random books as well. I've just recently started doing book giveaways and enjoy "giving away free books". My blog is not "formal" and I'm not a journalist but I do enjoy sharing what I think about the books I've read. Besides, isn't sharing what you love to do most important?

I am eclectic, I talk about books, libraries, publishing, and other things.

I am a bookseller & often forget about books I read a month, two months, or even a year ago. So I started blogging my books to keep them all in one place. And I often refer back to my blog in order to jog my memory.

I orginially blogged my books on my MySpace blog, but grew frustrated with the constant system errors. So I moved my blog to blogger. http://charlotteswebofbooks.blogspot.com/

I typically read "Chick Lit" books, but will really read anything that strikes my fancy. I read a LOT, so I often post two to three times a week.
