As this is a community for book bloggers, I thought it would be a good idea to get a post going where bloggers can discuss their blogs. Ideally feel free to comment with the title and a link to your blog as well as a brief summary of what kinds of material you generally blog about (e.g. young adult, nonfiction, romance etc.).
Hi all. I'm so glad to be part of the book blog community and read up on everyone's thoughts and views on what they've read. I've just only started my own blog, am not great at it but enjoying every second! Hope to be able to read up on all your blogs soon.
My business blog features reviews of business and economics books, with a few history and motivational books in the mix. I also announce interviews with many of the reviewed authors on my internet radio show. Talking with the authors about their ideas is really great as they provide additional background about the writing of their book.
I blog at In Search of Giants - mostly YA spec-fic, but not always. I also host/post writing information there, so it's a books & writing & literary things site.
I tend to lean more towards paranormal romance, horror and some fantasy. I started back in May of this year because I wanted to join in the fun of blogging and reviewing books!
I've done some contests and have some more lined up for the coming months including author interviews and such.
I discovered book blogging over a year ago and just love it. My blog is Planet Books and I enjoy the correspondences I have with authors, reviewing books, hosting authors for guest posts as well as holding book giveaways. Actaully I've got one going on this week for a signed copy of Natasha Bauman's THE DISORDER OF LONGING. I hope you'll come visit!!
My blog includes reviews of books I've read, which fall into Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, and some Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Horror, as-well-as Young Adult books in those genres. I also do interviews with authors, contests once in a while, Monthly New Release lists, and updates on whatever I happen to come across in relation to those genres.
I've tried to turn my book addiction into something a bit interactive and productive by starting Eva's Book Addiction - I review and discuss mostly children's and YA fiction, but also adult fiction, and library service to children manages to work its way into my posts as well sometimes.
The second is http://www.BooksForKids-Reviews.com
The focus here is good and great kid-lit from the past and present; particularly books that may have gotten lost in the crowd.
I just recently started blogging at http://itdoesntmakeanysense.typepad.com/joannie/ I mostly just ramble about what is ever on my mind :-) But I always list my tbr piles and what I'm currently reading...and my faves, etc.
My blog is dorolerium, and I review everything I read. Well, except Glamour Magazine, cuz no one wants a review of that! I started out reviewing just YA stuff, specifically things I read when I was young, but quickly migrated to reviewing everything I read.
I also review everything of note that I watch, whether that be movies or tv shows. My blog is strictly a review blog, but the sources are varied.
