As this is a community for book bloggers, I thought it would be a good idea to get a post going where bloggers can discuss their blogs. Ideally feel free to comment with the title and a link to your blog as well as a brief summary of what kinds of material you generally blog about (e.g. young adult, nonfiction, romance etc.).
I dragged a few online friends in with me and set up UNBOUNd where we review anything we happen to read, although i'll admit there is a strong leaning to sci fi andfantasy. http://hagelrat.blogspot.com/
I blog at Write for a Reader. I blog about books that I have read either from my school library, publishers, or giveaways. Generally, my posts are about children's books, middle grade, and YA. I cover all genres.
My book blog is Blogging My Books and I do try to keep that limited to my comments about books I've read. I hesitate to call them reviews because I don't feel like what I write is formal reviews. It's really just my thoughts and comments. I read a variety of genres and subject matter, but all my book related blogging is on this blog.
I initially started the blog intending it to be just for myself instead of a written book journal. I figured it might be convenient to share the link with friends who asked "what are you reading? or what would you recommend?" Little did I know that I would end up in the social network of book bloggers.
Just this past week I finally managed to meet Booklogged in person. She was visiting Portland so we naturally made arrangements to meet at Powell's Books. It was important to me to meet her because she's the first person that I didn't already know who found and commented on my book blog a little over 2 years ago. From her blogroll I started visiting other book blogs and so on and so on and so on.
As for my other blogs
The Adventures of Pirate Bendy is actually the very first blog I had. It's just something for fun. We take Pirate Bendy on vacation and road trips with us and look for fun places to take his picture.
Stuff I Made is where I post pictures of my crochet and knitting projects (sadly neglected lately, but I haven't been crocheting much).
Occasional Other Stuff is the newest of my blogs. I really wanted to keep the other three blogs limited to their established subject matter so I started this one for the occasional other stuff I wanted to post that really didn't belong on the others.
I just started blogging the end of August. So its still very new to me. I have been an avid reader most of my life so this is my spot that I do my book reviews on. Its not much but its mine and my thoughts.
We blog at Book Dads with books and book reviews with positive views of fathers and fatherhood, and probably other stuff we like on occasion.
We also have a personal family blog at Green Dads.
This is a great thread! I've already bookmarked several blogs that I want to check out.
My book blog is called Average Girl Reads. It isn't really about reviewing books, although I do share my impressions of the books I read. It's more about my goal of reading more books. I was an avid reader as a kid, then I grew up and stopped reading. So I am trying to get back into it.
I blog about the books I read and sometimes also about book-related issues. I read many different genres, but usually steer clear of romance and I am not very good at biographies. I am Danish and live in Copenhagen, but have a lot of English speaking friends, so when I made my blog (http://bogsider.blogspot.com) which is in Danish, I also decided to set up and identical one in English: http://louspages.blogspot.com. For most of last year and this year up until very recently, I haven't had time to blog. But now I am trying hard to get into it again and am pretty determined to write something marginally meaningful every day ;-)
i've been blogging about books for almost two years now. i started out with the idea that i was just replacing my pen-and-paper list of the books i've read with an on-line version. i had no idea what a great book blogging community there was, including the plethora of reading challenges!
i review (if only briefly sometimes) everything i read, and i read almost all genres. i'm currently particularly interested in YA fiction. suspense thrillers are a long-time favorite too.
Hi,
I run the blog Dark Wolf's Fantasy Reviews. On my blog I mainly review Fantasy and Horror titles. Sometimes I review Sci-Fi titles too. I am hosting interviews with the authors of some of the titles I review. I also have a post about other passion of mine, Fantasy Art, where I present and interview artists of these type of art.
It is nice to meet you :)
I have just started my blog on books, reading and reviewing and I would love for people to come and visit me there.Especially if you read something really great and want to tell me about it.
I don't have a blog, but I do manage an online, nonprofit bookstore. It would be great if you all could link to us on your blogs! (And tell your friends and family about us too - as we sell more book, our prices will get even lower. Currently, most products are 40% below retail.)
