As this is a community for book bloggers, I thought it would be a good idea to get a post going where bloggers can discuss their blogs. Ideally feel free to comment with the title and a link to your blog as well as a brief summary of what kinds of material you generally blog about (e.g. young adult, nonfiction, romance etc.).

I have been blogging at Adventures in Reading for a little over a year now. I have more of a general blog that combines my reflections on books [1] and my experiences as both an English major and as a bookseller.

[1] Covering just about any genre and area, fiction and nonfiction.

Well, my blog is Creative Madness. I made it to be able to more easily share information with my family, who live far from me, to see what I was up to. I quilt and cross stitch, and read books, so I was sharing pictures, but then I started book reviewing and it mushroomed. :)

The same thing happened to me. Started a blog to keep up with family and friends and within weeks it had become a book blog.

I blog at SMS Book Reviews which focuses mostly on Non-fiction, specifically books on Parenting, culture, life styles, psychology etc... Most of the fiction I review are ARCs. I also review lots of children's literature, including picture books.

I blog on books (specifically nonfiction and historical fiction) and my favorite television show Mad Men at enlightenmentgirl. I just posted a review of Fuchsia Dunlop's food memoir about her travels in China. I'd love it if you would check it out.
My next book review is of a novel, The Painter from Shanghai by Jennifer Cody Epstein. I'll be posting it tomorrow.

I started my book/review blog Talk About My Favorite Authors in January so it's been 9 months since I started it. It was at first supposed to be a group blog with some of my online friends who were also romance readers but after a month or two I was the only one who was actually posting my review on the books I've read. I've been reading romance novels for almost 6 years and I own over 1,030 books and I've read about more than 900 hundred of those books and the rest are on my TBR pile. I've also been fortunate enough to meet online a couple of authors that I've read and some that I've never read before but have guest blogged for me or even granted me interviews.

I started my blog in June. It's strictly book reviews, both fiction and non-fiction. Tag line "No BestSellers and No B***S***". That pretty much says it all.

I'm a slow reader, so I only post every 10 days, at least for now.

Feel free to check it out: http://nobsbookreviews.blogspot.com

I read and review a little of everything (except romance). I get a lot of my books from ARC book programs, so I can't always pick what I read. A little about my blog, Au Courant:

What is Au Courant?
Au Courant is just another blog that wants to share information. It is a place where I can post what I find on the internet that will in a long run hopefully help you find new reading material, deals, and the occasional legitimate contest or sweepstake.

Fun Fact:
Au Courant in French means,"in the current" which explains this blog's internet address.

Feel free to stop by anytime! :)

On Read Street, the Baltimore Sun's book blog, we'd like to reinforce and sustain the area's vibrant literary community. The city has a rich history (with claims to Poe, Hammett and Fitzgerald among others) and a burgeoning community today (Tyler, Lippman, etc.). We feature local events, bookstores and authors -- as well as links to other book bloggers on topics that are just plain interesting. (A lot of New England slips in because I grew up in Connecticut.) And we've tried to develop interactive features, such as a U.S. map of favorite bookstores. Suggestions are always welcome. The link: www.baltimoresun.com/readstreet

Hi,
I just started my blog at http://colleen213.blogspot.com I've mostly just been writing my thoughts about novels, usually in the classic fiction genre. I'm participating in a few different challenges to try to broaden my literary horizons.

I have like 5 blogs :D

:)

But then all 5 have different purposes and here i would like to discuss two of them.

My Lil Me Time and
Giving reading a chance

My Lil Me time, is the blog that helps me to showcase the creative part of me, out to the world. I never knew I could write stories, till one day I saw some other blogger write and then tried my hand at it and thus this blog was born.
I write poems, short stories on this blog of mine :)

"Giving reading a chance" is basically a blog that is created to keep track of my reading, and my reviews and the challenges that I have taken up :)

Blogging is so fun! and I would definitely like to visit all your blogs too.

Thanks for this discussion BookChronicle :)

Take care,
Veens

I have two sites. One is my personal book blog, Booklorn. I post one or two reviews each week and links to free book downloads every Monday (there will be four tomorrow). My reading is about equally split between fiction and non-fiction and a lot, but not all, come from ARCs.

My other site is a one stop site for readers where they can see the latest reviews for over 30 blogs (and more, as more bloggers sign up). Right now I'm looking for a name for the site and giving away a gift certificate for books for the name suggestion that gets used.
