As this is a community for book bloggers, I thought it would be a good idea to get a post going where bloggers can discuss their blogs. Ideally feel free to comment with the title and a link to your blog as well as a brief summary of what kinds of material you generally blog about (e.g. young adult, nonfiction, romance etc.).

My site is www.ireadtoomuch.com, where I pour my random thoughts about the books I read both for fun, and for my job as a history teacher....but mostly for fun!
I mostly read fiction and nonfiction, with the occasional literary graphic novel thrown in (anything by David B. makes the cut!)....

My blog is Books Ahoy! I changed the name of the blog a couple of days ago from Book Ahoy to Books Ahoy! I named this blog after a poem written by my grandmother (which you can read on my sidebar). The whole Chips Ahoy = Books Ahoy corelation didn't even hit me until I saw on online add for chips ahoy. Then I realized it would sound better with the s on it.

I reveiw a fairly wide variety of books: children's picture and chapter books, YA books, general fiction books, Chick-lit, non-fiction, basically whatever I happen to be reading at the time.

I started my blog a year and a half ago, but have only really updated it regularly for a couple of months. I had no idea there was such a large and active book reveiwing community, or I would have been active with it sooner.

I am passionate about a lot of things but after family, books are up near the top of the list. Thusly a book blog that focuses primarily on scifi/fantasy on my book blog but not restrictively. I am a very eclectic reader but truly love the nobler aspects of fantasy and scifi. I don’t review but recommend, I find reviews are often too revealing of the plot.

My tech blog is based on over 25 years of owning and operating a computer business. I suspect you would be hard pressed to enjoy that type & length of career without being enamored of geek stuff. I got into the business because I enjoyed my new hobby and was reading voraciously everything I could find on computers. The mysterious side of the tech blog is that I feel comfortable sharing some of my more philosophic moments in a forum that is dedicated to technology. Go figure!

I am both surprised and delighted when I find someone has read either blog and especially when they are moved enough to comment or email me. My blogs apparently help in fulfilling my need for self expression so it is just a bonus if said expression is of interest to others.

Feel free to visit, comment or email, happy blogging.

My book blog is Crazy Book Slut. I just started it because I didn't want to have all my book reviews in with my daily blog. Forgot how hard it was to start a new blog.

I have just started a blog about egyptological books. It is called The Egyptological Bibliophile (http://egyptologicalbibliophile.blogspot.com), and there I want to post small articles about egyptological topics. It has a section, that can be accessed by clicking on "The Library's Catalog" where I intend to make a complete catalog of my own egyptological library. Everything is written in English, but as it is not my mother language, I would like to beg your pardon for the mistakes that you will probably find. I do it this way because it is a good practice for me (I want to write my Ph.D in English).

I hope that you enjoy my new blog!

I started my blog, Books and Cooks almost a year ago as a way to practice my writing and to give me something to do. I started with a few book reviews and some recipes. I discovered the book blogging community and instantly felt at home there. I've met amazing people and now most of my spare time is taken up with my blogging. Please stop by and leave me a comment and say hello!

Thanks, Bookchronicle, for starting this discussion, it's awesome! I've already bookmarked quite a few sites to check out.

I started blogging in May, so I'm pretty new at this. It was an experiment in self-expression. I sometimes feel like I have a lot to say, but don't want to bore my IRL friends with everything that wants to come out!

My first blog is drey's house (http://dreyshouse.blogspot.com), it was a blog for just about whatever I felt like blogging about. Then it became a collection of rants about the state of the economy, and comments about books. Last month, I decided that I wanted all my book-related stuff in its own blog, so I started drey's library (http://dreyslibrary.blogspot.com). I'm still working on both, and I'm trying to work up to writing my thoughts on the books I read. I don't like to spill the beans on the story, but I love reading so much that I'd like to share the books I like with others.

I read a lot of fantasy, and I'll branch out to mysteries and chick-lit. I'm currently on a Jennifer Crusie bent, while I wait for my favorite fantasy authors to release their next-in-series books, next year. I also like reading books set in different cultures, and books that explore the differences in cultures that we're used to. I read Anne Tyler's Digging to America recently, and I could identify with some of the "are these people just crazy" thoughts that flitted through some of the characters' minds. =) I love Lisa See, but not her "modern" stuff. I cried whilst reading both of Khaled Hosseini's books.

I should stop before I write a book, eh? =P Please check out my blogs & leave comments - this is how I can grow & improve 'em. Thanks for reading!

I been blogging since July of this year, and it's been great! :-) I've always loved Science Fiction and Fantasy, and you'll find a bit of both on the blog - reviews of books, interviews with authors, and announcements from the industry as well as the odd non-genre thingie thrown in. Oh, and I'm from South Africa, so my blog is written for South African SFF fans (but anyone in the world can read it and understand). :-) Here's the link: http://davebrendon.wordpress.com

Hi, I just started my blog a couple of months ago solely with the idea of reviewing but of course I had to add in some penguin trivia and pictures. I really like mysteries, and then some chick lit and then some literary fiction and then...... well, you get the picture, I just love to read. I suppose I could say though there are a few genres I don't like erotica, sci-fi,urban fantasy. You will never see reviews of that type on my blog. Right now I have an interview with Maria Murnane and a giveaway going until Dec 20th for her book, Perfect on Paper at http://www.kayespenguinposts.blogspot.com
Happy Reading

My blog is Shhh, I'm Reading and I have had it up for a little over a year. I try to review everything I read so it's a bit of a mixed bag. There is a lot of newer fiction and memoirs, but also some audio books, historical fiction and young adult.
