As this is a community for book bloggers, I thought it would be a good idea to get a post going where bloggers can discuss their blogs. Ideally feel free to comment with the title and a link to your blog as well as a brief summary of what kinds of material you generally blog about (e.g. young adult, nonfiction, romance etc.).

I blog mostly about visually interesting literary-related things...altered books, book sculptures, gorgeous libraries, unique bookshelf designs, old typewriters, products made from old typewriter keys, quirky bookmarks and paper products...you get the idea. :) I blog a little about specific books too, along with book events (there is a literary calendar for San Francisco events on my blog), but in general it's simply book-related things that make me go "oooh!"

Come see what I mean at http://curledupwithabook.wordpress.com

Hope to see some of you there!

oh my gosh, that's so funny! I have the same problem - I often find myself buying the same book twice and then giving it away! haha!

I love "Chick Lit" too - I'm going to link to your blog right now.

Hi there - great thread! I blog at www.bookwormzreader.blogspot.com, and so far I've posted mostly about contemporary literature. I also talk a lot about my personal life, cooking, and about my crafting. My blog is definitely a blended one, with an emphasis on Books. Please check it out! I'm also giving away a BookWorm this week! www.bookwormzreader.blogspot.com

Hello

I blog about books at Not Enough Bookshelves. I mainly review YA and books that catch my eye. So books that are recommended in the shops or have a buzz about them on blogs and in the media. I also do weekly geeks, BTT and Tuesday Teasers, as well as quotes of the week.

I also blog at The Lines Between Us. I just started this one to talk about the writing process, as I'm attempting to write a book.

I haven't been blogging very long, maybe 2 months. My blog is general. I read a large variety of books. However, right now I am into vampires. I am participating in a reading challenge where I read 8 books every month. I try to have a theme each month. Next months book theme may either be mental illness/memoirs or Japan. It depends on whether I get all the books I need.

Reading is like breathing...it must be done

I review books and other media for Family Fun magazine, but I had a hard time finding similar print markets for adult book reviews (many magazines that carry reviews use staff writers, not freelancers), so I started my book blog, Book By Book, just because I wanted to also write about the great grown-up books I was reading, too.

I am able to read many more great kids' and teens' books than Family Fun can print, so earlier this year, I started a new book blog just for reviews of books for kids and YA, Great Books for Kids and Teens.

Great discussion thread! It's fun to discover new book blogs.

I'm writing a blog where I read a book a day, every day, for the calendar year of 2009 and writing about it. I also have a feature called Suggestion Saturday where readers can suggest books that I should read, and sometimes I let people vote on the books that I'm going to read on certain days. My blog is meant to be a fun, light-hearted look at books, becuase I'm not really a serious-book-discussions kind of person.

I have been blogging at Liquid Thoughts since 2005. I started out as a reading and general book blog, but have slowly moved to a reading and collecting blog. Mysteries are becoming my niche, but I still get into most genres and styles.

I have a general blog on my social and support network for women, The Women's Nest, a site I founded a little over a year ago.

I'm an author, and have just completed my debut novel, Megan's Way, a work of literary fiction. I'm interested in having book bloggers review the book, but am interested in serious book bloggers. I have been contacted by a few that also have other things that they blog about that are a little...to say it nicely, a little risque! But...If you are a serious book blogger, I wish you'd give my book a try. My actual unsolicited reader responses have been excellent, but I'm hoping the blogging will cause a bit of a buzz!

You can check out Megan's Way here: http://www.megansway.com or on Amazon.

If you are interested, please email me at thinkhappy@live.com

Thank you!

Good idea!

I've been blogging ever since May '09 and I love it! I have the best followers and I enjoy sharing my reviews with everyone.
My blog is called La Femme Readers and I mostly review Young Adult Fiction, but sometimes I veer off into other type of books depending on my mood. I also host book giveaways and author interviews, so please come follow my blog, I promise you'll be entertained! http://lafemmereaders.blogspot.com/

Thanks!
