Many of the discussions and contests are about fiction literature. Does anyone review non-fiction works in history, health, politics, business, family, education, science, technology, etc?

I review business and economics books, with the occasional history, science, and technology book thrown into the mix.

How about you? What non-fiction categories do you read and review?

I review non-fiction on my site (~40% or so of my reviews are non-fiction I think from eyeballing it). I review history (particularly espionage/international affairs), memoir, self-help, science (when I get the opportunity since that's my thing), and some philosophy. Actually, I read a lot of non-fiction so I'd review more than that if I could get my hands on it.

If you haven't been over to Mini Book Expo yet, that's a good place to pick up non-fiction books to review. They had a purely business week at the beginning of September.

I review business book titles for Mini Book Expo. I recommend them highly. They have some tremendous non-fiction (as well as fiction) titles available right now for review.

I just jumped over there and there is a post about why the site is now on hiatus. Darn, I am always on the lookout for sites offering good nonfiction books.

I really enjoy memoirs.

I read quite a few memoirs as well as other non-fiction, usually food and about the culture of other countries.

I could write the same comment as Nicole here lol...I read memoirs and/or especially about the culture of other countries and review those. And there often is food involved ;-)

I review books on family, health, education, self-help and autobiographies too. May include history too when I can 'replenish' my supply over here...most of my books at back home, you see.

I pretty much alternate between fiction and non-fiction. Basically, what I guess could be called, biographical history. Is that a proper term? They're basically history with an element of biography. My latest was "Charlatan". Although, I have also posted historical biographies. ;-)

Hi Valerie. It's a pleasure and a privilege to work with Hachette on the many great business and other non-fiction titles they publish. Hachette is a leader in the New York publishing industry in the use of the internet to help market books. They use Twitter, Facebook, forums like this one, and have a huge network of bloggers who review their books.

Along with writing reviews, I've had the pleasure of interviewing one of their authors - Gunjan Bagla "Doing Business in 21st Century India" on my internet radio show. Thanks to Val as well, I have another interview coming up on October 28 with Jonathan Baskin " Branding Omly Works On Cattle". Hachette is doing a fine job of adding the power of the internet to their established marketing and publicity channels.
