Many of the discussions and contests are about fiction literature. Does anyone review non-fiction works in history, health, politics, business, family, education, science, technology, etc?

I review business and economics books, with the occasional history, science, and technology book thrown into the mix.

How about you? What non-fiction categories do you read and review?

I read history and science. I recently reviewed a really great book titled Occult America: The Secret History of How Mysticism Shaped Our Nation. It is a lot better than it sounds. I received a cute American History Trivia book to review which I am going to pass on to my dad.
Sadly it seems there is a bigger calling for fiction reviews than nonfiction. I would love to review more history and science books
Actually, Occult America sounds like a fascinating book. :-)

Like you, I would love to review more history and science books as well. The vast majority of my non fiction reviews are business and economics books.
I just saw the book in my local library, which surprised me as my local library is full of fiction and very little nonfiction. If you can find it I would highly recommend it.
Hi Wayne,

I recently reviewed a non-fiction book called Mr. Langshaw's Square Piano. Very interesting story, my review is posted at www.nybookcafe.com. Some older reviews in non-fiction are the Step by Step Guide to Self Publishing For Profit and The Sugarless Plum.
I do a lot of history and science non fiction reviews, well technically I just started my blog, put I have been reviewing them elsewhere. Non-fiction science is my favorite genre, but I review new and old.
Hi, here's a non fiction review I just posted:
For football fans and especially would-be football fans, a review of A Sportscaster's Guide to Watching Football: Decoding America's Fav...
I read quite a few books on management, ebusiness, and clean technology. I find ebusiness and clean technology to be
particularly interesting.
I've read and reviewed memoirs, biographies, histories, biology books, genetics, politics, political science, philosophy, travel and I'm sure others too.
Does anyone find reviewing non fiction to be a different process from reviewing fiction? I know that I find reviewing them to be quite different.
I am a little more forgiving with a poorly written novel than I am with a poorly written nonfiction. If the information in a nonficton is bogus or not well researched I have no problem pointing this out. With fiction I normaly stick to talking about the plot and characters.
I review both fiction and non-fiction books. My last review is on Underground by Haruki Murakami. It is a non-fiction book about the terrorist attack in Tokyo in 1995.

I don't read as much non-fiction as I do fiction, but I do occasionally review memoirs and biographies.
