Who is using which? How do they compare? Does anyone use more that one? I've started using LT which I really like. Then found Goodreads and I've found the other participants are more active in GR than LT. AND then I found Shelfari and I really like their cool bookshelf for the widget but there's a lot of advertising. I really have attempted to analyze any but if you have strong pros or cons about any of these or know of others, please share.

I paid for a membership on LT also, so you're not alone. I haven't bought the cue cat yet. I'm sure I'll get one eventually. I blogged about this very issue last week. I'm thinking about joining GoodReads. I'll never leave LT though.

I joined both LT and Goodreads, but have ended up using Goodreads much more. It just seems easier.

I use all three, and of the three, I prefer LibraryThing. It's easier to access and make changes to my library, quicker to change the cover if I have a different or rare one. The community is great there. It seems a bit more diverse as well -- a good combination of young and older readers.

The advertisements on LibraryThing are very unobtrusive and I rarely get spam from authors promoting their books. On GR and Shelfari, the ads are more visible and spam happens a lot more often.

I just joined LibraryThing and it's wonderful. I'm already addicted to it.

I started with LT and I'm sticking with it. I don't want to add any others, because LT takes up enough of my time as it is.

I am a member of LT and love it there! My "name" on LT is writestuff.

I'm on LT and Good Reads, but spend more time on LT probably because I'm a creature of habit and landed there first. I also chat on Readerville.com, which I've been doing for years and years.

I use all consuming - like that too as a way to keep track of what I read.

Well, I broke down and joined Goodreads, too. I find I use LibraryThing more, though. Maybe because I'm more familiar with it.

I really love LT--probably because it was the first I found, so I'm used to it. I think Goodreads is really good too. I have problems with Shelfari, only because it seems to take so much longer for pages to load on that site, and I'm not patient and start clicking to speed things up and then things get really slow! I do really like Shelfari's "what I'm reading now" widget though for my blog...it looks cool!

So many of you like GR that I just went over and signed up even though I'm an LTer. I, believe, I'm 'Marcia' at GR. If not then I'm 'the printed page'. I have one book listed and it's the one I'm currently reading, 'The Book of Lies' by Brad Meltzer. Now I just have work on getting my library imported, someday.

I have tried out all three, I mainly use LT because I love the way the catalog works and I've become very comfortable with it. GoodReads is very interesting and I am still getting used to it. As for Shelfari - I don't like it at all, the only thing I find useful is the widgets you can get there.
