Dear Awesome Authors, Bloggers and Friends I have had the pleasure to get to know and chat with,

I know this seems like a big e-mail, but I'm asking you to please take the 5 minutes to read it because it's a great cause, and we need your help!

Something tragic that directly effects the life of a family member of my co-blogger Kayla has occurred. And because I have had the great opportunity to get to know many wonderful people in my time blogging, I am reaching out to those I've met asking for their help to make a small difference for Kayla's cousin Christian.

The Info
Christian Hurt (cousin of my co-blogger Kayla) broke his neck during this last football season, and has been understandably upset to learn there was nothing they could do for him to help him regain even a little bit of his normal life back. Upon some research he and his family located a doctor in Germany who would be able do a full replacement, in short giving him back at least most of the life he once had. I know, this isn't really book related - but I plan to make it book related. Bear with me.

Here's where you come in.
-- I want to start a collection of book related items that we can compile to make one HUGE prize pack (or two, as I may have a UK person willing to help out for that side of the pond).

This e-mail si going out because we're trying to gather items for the prize pack(s), signed and otherwise, ARCs, Used, New, swag, physical gift cards....anything that we can put into the prize packs, anything you have laying around or are willing to pitch in. As bloggers, avid readers and authors we often have more than we need on our shelves and this is a great way to help you clear out for an even greater cause. Donate one item, donate 10, every little bit helps. YA, Fiction, anything!!!

When the prize pack(s) are ready, I will run all the information on my blog about Christian and his story including a You Tube video (all info below for you to look at as well) along with a donation form. All this is open to be placed on any blog that so feels moved to help support by sharing the info when we have it ready to post.
Because his insurance will not cover the surgery outside of the US, my goal is to give every person who donates, ONE entry for every $1 donated. This way people can donate as little as $1 and have a chance at the amazing prize pack(s) I hope to put together.

Our goal is to spend about a month collecting items, photograph it and catalog it for the blog post and then run the giveaway for about a month as well.

I know this isn't the typical type of e-mail I would send out, but if you feel so moved, as I did when I heard this story, as to browse your shelves and see what you don't really need anymore we would be forever grateful.
