Great page. Mine is: www.amazon.com/author/christine_rice.
I've only just started using Author Central, so if anyone has tips about how to get the best out of it I'd be grateful. So far the best thing is using it to share to other sites, which is easier from there than from my Amazon book page, where I can't work out how to do it. I think I may be a techno-idiot.
Good author section btw, Isiah.I'm at www.amazon.com/author/benblake
Ben, when you say you haven't figured out how to share to other sites from your Amazon book page, what exactly do you mean? I don't believe we can do anything to that page except share the link.
I've noticed a place to start a discussion on the author central page, but I've never actually seen a discussion. Here is the link to mine. I have a book trailer on mine, something you might consider. And I'll put adding a new book later this month.
I've linked my blog to my author central page. I use the "discussion" options to let readers know about my latest blog posts or anything new about my book. As to whether it helps? I think it just another part of the package. Just keep your posts in the "Meet the Author" listings or someone will "yell" at you.
The new feature, an overall ranking graph is very nice. Great ego booster. Visit me, huh?
There's much you can do. You can add your Twitter Page, your Blog, book trailers. It is useful in that persons who find your book on Amazon can experience you and your writing through these other forms. Once they have done so they might be moved to buy your book:)
Here's my link. You will note that my short ebook is FREE today and tomorrow.
We use it and the url is
what do you think about Author Rankings?
Also, sales info does not seem to include digital sales, only print!
thanks for this discussion.
I use it but I'm not sure how helpful it is. I have 12 likes on mine so I think that that helps out a little bit.
This is my Author Central page, I even managed to link twitter and my blog to the page! :-0
