just a quick question, how do you get the pictures of to go straight to amazon if the reaaaader clicks on it? Does amazon give you any money for this?

Permalink Reply by Eric Timar on February 7, 2012 at 10:40pm On my blog -- I use wordpress -- when I upload a picture, it allows me to put in a link. It's the same window where I can type in a caption for the photo, choose its orientation, etc. I use a photo from my computer and upload it.
For awhile the wordpress blog was doing this automatically when I put in a text link, i.e. turning that into the official Amazon thumbnail listing. I don't know why it stopped, and haven't bothered to start it up again, since this link/photo process I mention works just as well.
No money for it, alas.

Depending on where you blog you can use html or the editing stuff (like what's above the text box here) to make any picture link to any site you want.
No you don't get money simply for linking to Amazon. You can become an affiliate and get some money though.

I use blogger and I have an amazon associates account. This allows me to have a toolbar at the top of my screen while i'm on amazon - with a button that says "link to this page" I just copy the code for what I want to link (image only, image and text, etc) and copy and paste it in. As an associate, I only get money for it if someone actually buys (I don't get credit for them looking). It's not much, usually just a few cents, but hey - it works and it's something. :)
