This is self promotion but I'm sharing for your benefit too! My brand new site Books For Review opened it's doors to the public yesterday (I thought Book Bloggers Appreciation Week was a good time!)

Book Promoters can register for an account to list their book they are offering for review. Bloggers who review books can go there, look around and contact those they are interested in.

There are a few books listed already and more coming. Check it out! I'd love feedback too.

Great website, Kathleen! I registered and will be submitting posts for my four books.

I am creating my first post right now, but there isn't the ability to add an image - which you suggest in your instructions for book promoters. After I logged in, I noticed there was a note from WordPress that said, "WordPress 3.4.2 is available! Please notify the site administrator." I think you need to update your website to include the newer version of WordPress in order to have the ability to add images to the posts, because I have a WordPress blog and I have the ability to add images. It would be really helpful to be able to add images of my books to my posts.

I hope I get lots of bloggers interested in reviewing my books. I wish you much success with your website!

Christine, you can just copy the URL of images that are hosted on your own blog, or create the post in your own blog first and cut-and-paste the code... ;)

Just use HTML view in the editor and you can do whatever you want! :D

(though it IS a good idea to keep the WordPress version current)

Actually there is an option to add an image, many have used it already. For some reason some people can't see it and I can't figure out why. When I was in Beta I had some authors list their books to see how it went and one mentioned she couldn't see the button to add an image no matter what she tried. I added them in for her. I need to figure this out. I will update my wordpress thanks but that's not the problem. May I ask if you use a PC or Mac and what browser? Thanks.

There is no image button for me and I prefer not to use HTML. I use FireFox on a PC. There is an image button on my own WordPress blog in which I use the same browser and computer. I think it's a good idea for you to look into it so that all author members will be able to post images. If I email you my images using the contact email on your website, can you add them to my posts?

That is really weird, I will look into it. In the meantime yes you can email me your images and tell me which post they go with: [e-mail]

Hi Kathleen!  Thank you for setting this up.  I set up 4 titles tonight -- I can't say I know what I am doing, but I put them up.  I could not figure out how to load the cover images, so I am open to corrections or suggestions.  I think you did a great job of creating the site and the rules are very clear and simple (thank you!).  If there is anything I can do to help promote it or what you are doing, let me know.

Great thanks for your feedback. I am working on checking and publishing the pending posts so they should go up soon. I also tweet out about every post using the #books4review hashtag.

Do you see the insert image button? For some reason its there for some people and not for others, I can't figure out why. If you can't figure it out, you can email me the images and tell me the name of the post and I'll add them in [e-mail]
