I'm a new blogger myself, (my blog is about 4 weeks old), so I thought I'd start a post where new bloggers could post about their blogs and try to get a little more traffic.

Hello, all! I'm new here - been on for about three days now. I'm doing something a bit different - I'm more interested in providing solid recommendations on more "canonical" works. I'm a college professor and am always getting inquiries from friends and acquaintances for books to read, so I thought I'd turn that into a blog.
