Any onething that boosted your sales

I have noticed authors reporting sales in response to various marketing activities.

What is one thing you did that showed significant increase in your book sales.

For example, was it Book Blogs, KB discussions, a social net work like Face Book, a paid advertisement, lowering the price...etc.

The only thing I can really report is Kindle Boards, so far.

I like the idea of making an outrageous promotional video. I'm not sure if it will sell any books but I'm going to do it just for the fun of it and see what happens. I'll report back here when it's done.

I did it. I made a promotional video and I had fun doing it. Now we'll see if it helps me any. I took more of an entertainment approach than an informational approach. The video is "Bank Man Song" and the link is here:

Paula, When you did this free promotion day, who did you tell about it? And how did that work? I've never really heard or thought of doing that. I know i have my first book on Kindle free to Prime members, haven't noticed too much traffic from that. Great advice! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Emma, I told people on the Kindle forum, here on book blogs and my blogsite. Also I gave the link to my website that had added information about the book. A bit here and a bit there really, so I don't know which did the most work!

Goodreads book giveaway. Did great things for The Immortality Virus. Might have done better things if I had given away more than one copy (because winners are expected to review the book, which gets more notice still).

Asking for reviews here helped a ton, too!
