Are Link-Ups Effective in Spreading The Word?

I've participated in a few link-ups in the last couple of months and
they do seem to generate some significant traffic. So I've decided to
start one that is exclusively for current reviews (Within the last 30 days).

I'll be posting the Linky every Monday. Guidelines are listed with the Linky. So feel free to link up your current book reviews.

What experience have you had with linking up your reviews? Does it work for you?

I think link-ups are effective. I usually go to the Saturday Situation link-up hosted by Candace's Book Blog and have gotten a few hits from there. I've been trying to push my reviews that gets lower comments (esp. those I received for reviews) and was pleased when I got a few from Candace's SS.

I like link-ups, but I'm having trouble finding book blogs with similar tastes in books....I tend to like more mainstream, popular books/authors....
