This may seem like a silly question, but I am not the most internet savvy person out there...
How do you get the "follow me on" widget on your sidebar.
I have noticed a lot of blogs have these. It is the one that has a little icon for all your sites
(Twitter, Goodreads, Email, Facebook, ect.) and when you click on the icon it links to your site or allows you to follow?
Any help would be just great!
Thank you :]
You can look through the widgets on Blogger to find something you like.
If you're wanting just an icon for the site that will lead to your profile like mine you have to use some html code. It's pretty easy though.
The code is: <a href="Link to your profile on whatever site"><img src="Link to the image/icon "> </a>
Finding the image is tricky. You can Google images, hire someone to make images for you, or be creative and make your own images.
Thanks so much guys!
I am sure I will figure it out with all the help you provided.
I was able to put just a Follow me on Twitter one up,
But I want to have them all in the same gadget spot...
I know what you're talking about but haven't seen those on a Blogger blog. Try the instructions on SpiceUpYourBlog and please let me know if it works on Blogger. If you don't have a template with a wide sidebar, you'll want to put the widget on top or underneath. In case you don't already know, choose the widget that says "add html" because that stuff you have to paste in is html code.
There are lots of widgets out there both within and outside of your blog. These good folks have already helped with the within-site widgets. However, I really like the one you can find here: http://wibiya.conduit.com/ and it's really simple to install. Just follow the instructions on the site and it pretty much does it for you. If you're on Blogger, that works best. If you're on Wordpress, you need to have your own domain name so they'll let you have add-ons. If you have a .wordpress.com address, you can't use it.
You can check the Wibiya tool bar out on my blog at http://amindwandering.blogspot.com. Also, usually if you find a cool widget on someone else's site, there's a link (like on my wibiya tool bar on the far right) that will take you to the widget's original site. Hope this helps you.
