Hi Michelle. Nice blog. As you asked, I commented and followed. And by that I promise I will check in with you every few days to see what you've been up to. I don't believe in just saying I'll follow to make you feel good about growing thumbnail pics on your side bar! And on that note. I'm looking forward to your review on Tempest as I am reading it at the moment.

Please also follow me at: http://todayinshenaya.blogspot.com
My blog is some what different to most in that it is written by the characters of my novel Cursed. It makes for an unusual read because  Seth and Erin write about many of the major themes in the novel - anything ranging from  life before birth to  life after death. Not to mention the bits in between.

Thoughts on our blog...

The text is very small, especially against the black. It makes for sore eyes, and that drives people away. Not what you want. Also it is very busy with your book tour flashing images. Do you want them right at the top of your page? I know some people love busy blogs, but a lot of people don't. Maybe check out the forum post on blog design for some ideas.

Other than that... best of luck.

Gwynneth

I absolutely love your blog and the idea of letting your characters write (a fabulous introduction to your book). I will stop by regularly to view their thoughts. I am also very interested in reading Cursed so I will be looking for it at the end of this year. Thank you for following and actually being a part of my blog. I am glad you have a genuine interest :) Also thank you for the suggestions, I am still trying to figure out how the design works and will make the changes. I'm not sure how to move the tour banner, but I will find a less obtrusive way to show it. I really appreciate your feed back in helping me make my blog better. Hope to hear from your characters soon.

Thank you,

Michelle

Thanks Michelle. Appreciate that! As far as design goes, it me a while to get my head around Blogger so let me share what I finally gleaned. To change your font and size go to: DESIGN. From there click TEMPLATES. Locate your Template. Then the CUSTOMIZE button. It will open a screen giving your various design options. Choose ADVANCED ... and here you will find the option to choose your font and font size.

Also, to move the banner, go to design and move the gadget to where you want it.

If you knew all this then please forgive my innate bossiness!

Gwynneth

No worries, I appreciate any advise, tricks, or ideas. I did find a gadget that lets the viewer change the font size to fit their needs :) The banner is proving to be difficult. It does not have a gadget, but I find it eventually. I mean it has to be on there somewhere right :)

Thanks again!

Michelle

Thanks, I am now following you. I like that your blog is professional and clean it allows people to navigate it well. I also really like your reviews. You present your ideas in a way that is well thought out and informative. My only advice would be to add something that would catch a persons attention. I would suggest a poll. It would add an interactive quality without disrupting the professionalism of your blog. You can add them easily on the gadget page. Aside from that you have a great blog and I am definitely reading The Sleepwalkers! Sounds interesting, like you I have a soft spot for WWII and have been gathering information (mostly on the distraction Berlin caused). Anyway, I am excited to see what you think of Toys by James Patterson so I will be stopping by :)

Hi Ethan. You should be a writer of books not a reviewer! I have rarely seen such well-written, evocative reviews. They make me what to buy the books even though most of them are not genres I usually read. The authors should be paying you! The Snow Child is an exception - I definitely want to read that. Pity I don't live in the US or Canada. I will be following your blog and look forward to more posts. I tried to post a comment on the blog, but it kept chucking me out!
