Hi
I'm a book blogger and I am also a book blog reader -- always happy to discover new book blogs and point of view.
These days I've been thinking about creating a book blog directory (a list containing only book blogs), so that a) both I and other interested people could find many book blogs in one place b) if the directory will get linked enough and will get a (semi)high page rank everyone listed on it will benefit (by appearing higher on Google searches)
I haven't nailed all the details yet but I'm thinking to host it on a subdomain of my site (something like
http://directory.kaysbookshelf.com), and for each blog there'll be listed it's address, a screen capture, a short description and perhaps it's author's email (should one wish to add it).
I'm thinking that the best thing would be if everyone in the directory would add a link to it on their homepage (so as the page rank will increase, plus it will make it easier to be discovered by other book bloggers), perhaps with a badge like the attached one or feel free to make your own.
So, what do you think? Would you want to be added on a such list (and link to it from your homepage)?
LATER UPDATE:
I have put up a simple site created with Google sites, you can see it at
http://directory.kaysbookshelf.com. Write me an email at kay [at] kaysbookshelf dot com if you would like to be a part of it (so far it only has one entry: my own blog, as I wouldn't want to add there people without their consent).
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts & opinions on it!
