Book loving penpals?

I saw a post on Adventures in Reading looking for penpals and I thought this was a great idea! I used to have penpals but haven't for many years. I would love to snail mail others who love books as much as I do. Maybe we could even start a group in here for it. Let me know if anyone is interested. Hope to hear from you soon!

I love the idea in theory. But I know, realistically, that I am bad and very lazy at things that involve the post office. Even if it involves mailboxes and not the actual P.O.
so my poor penpal would get two letters and then silence.
Maybe some combo of net and snailmail? email letters, and the odd bit of book exchange?

I would be interested in this! I have a huge box in my closet full of letters from friends and family over the years. Recently I got in touch with a girl I used to babysit, who is now in New York on Broadway and we are writing to each other. It is wonderful! Let me know if you get something going with this. Thanks!

OOOOOO book exchanges! I haven't penpalled in years. I think when I was little I had over a hundred pen pals all over the place. Somehow or another we lost touch. Sounds like fun.

I would like to take part in this - it's sad to say i spend most of my days in front of a PC so my writing skills are very much back to basic and i find the handwriting that i do read could use some work as well, so i am not alone in the bad handwriting department.
