I'm just looking into possibly becoming an affiliate with a bookstore on my blog... however, I'm having a hard time choosing between Chapters/Indigo (local to my area), or Amazon (seems to have more of an online presence).

What do other people prefer? What is easier for not only you, but your followers?

Another option would be Indiebound, which offers affiliate links good at independent bookstores across the US.

Amazon has been by far the most successful book affiliate program for my blog, though.
It would probably depend most on where your readers are. Do you use a widget that tracks what countries your visitors come from? If you have a lot of Canadian visitors then Chapters would be a good idea. But if most of your visitors come from other countries, Amazon would probably be a better idea.

Amazon seems to draw more attention!
Amazons astore is easy peasy. go to my site www.mrmathias.com and find the "Xuardian Digitorium" text button. That is an example of a basic estore.... Just my two cents. M.R.
For international readership, I use Amazon for kindle downloads (obviously!) and Audible.com for audiobooks, but for physical books this is my favourite program (including my reasoning!).
I would go with Amazon if I were you. More people use it because of the low prices. You'll get a lot more sales through that and you can also set up your own Astore and pick exactly which books you want to display. The other option is to become an affiliate to both! Set up an Astore and link to your local store in your sidebar.
