Book v. Movies

So the Edgar Allen Poe movie is coming out soon. On the heels of the Hunger games and Twilight, I started wondering, does anyone else love watching movies after readIng the book it was based on?

I enjoy watching them.. though some they just kill if they are not done right but it's fun to see what they come up with.

Meh... there are very few book-to-movie adaptations that are decent.  Every time I watch one I tell myself that this one will be different, but I'm almost always disappointed and feel like I wasted my time.

I completely understand! Sometimes I am interested to see how different characters are cast as opposed to the way I imagine them.
