I have only been blogging for three months. I have close to 5,000 page views but nobody ever leaves a comment ....maybe I have had six comments. I've tried posting questions but get very little response. My blog is Joyce's Choices at http://jssherr.blogspot.com

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Try more discussion posts. I do them occasionally and they always stir up comments. You might go comment on other blogs. Many people always try to return the favor.

(By the way, you might want to stop posting everything in capital letters. It's the equivalent of screaming on the internet. That could be turning off readers.)

Thankyou Allison.. I am in the process of changing to lower case. I liked the look of the capitals, but you may be right...so good suggestions..

I am now receiving comments..Thankyou for your help. I have them posted on the sidebar of my blog. My question is..Is that a good thing to do? I did delete one that I didn't like, but the rest are positive.

in all honesty, it is very little that you can do. however here a few suggestions.

Leave a question at the end of your post.  be sure the reply button is on so you can utilize that.

go over to other bloggers and leave a question and hopefully they will return to your blog with a answer.

as long as they are coming don't worry about the commnets, it will drive you CRAZZZYYY

Thankyou for the suggestions...mmm reply button?? Maybe that's my problem... You're right it was driving me nuts...but I'm moving on....

You can join some week meme and link up your blog in the blog host. Then I suggest you to visit and post thoughtful comment in blog links before you. Ask them to visit your blog post nicely, and most will return the favor! I hope it helps. :)

I am new at this...What's a week meme? Thank you for responding...

Hmm I'm not the best in explaining but I'll try to! For example, I guess the most popular week meme is In My Mailbox. It is hosted by The Story Siren. You can find more information here: http://www.thestorysiren.com/in-my-mailbox. I also join Teaser Tuesday, hosted by http://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/. Another week meme are My Book Boyfriend, Wishlist Wednesday, The Time Will Come, Thirsty for Comments, and Cover Crazy. You can google it! I hope that this helps, let me know if you have any more question. :)

Here's a really good list of most memes (and how to 'play' them) http://randomizeme.net/2011/06/03/meme-directory-for-the-book-blogg...

Memes are a great way to meet new people!

I tried to do one of them but couldn't seem to join or link a pic to my blog to do it. I must sound so blond. But how do you get to do something like that

To join all you do is make a post on your blog answering the question (or whatever the task is). Then post a link back on the host's blog in the comments or the linky (place at the bottom of their post for people to add links). Go around to other people's posts, comment and make friends!

Thanks for that i will try it

i have joined (i think one on a craft a month) i have not button for my blog for it, but i will try what you say when i have made my craft and see what happens. I did put a message on the site for the host, but not heard anything- but then suspect that because she is the host she gets inundated with messages.
