If you liked My Sister's Keeper then The Pact is another good one by her that will have you in tears! As well as All The Numbers by Judy Larsen

RED HOT PROPERTY by Devin O'Branagan. It will make you laugh and make you cry. It is, as the critics say, entertaining, heartbreaking, and hilarious. www.RedHotNovel.com

I just finished The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery, that made me laugh and cry, it was a wonderful book, I lent it to a friend and she had the same reaction, although she said she found it a bit intellectual for her taste, lots of discussion of language, philosphy and art.

Clan of the Cave Bear from Jean M. Auel was the first book that made me cry. More recently Marley and Me had me bawling.

Oooh, what a good question!

For me, Anne of Green Gables is the original gangsta tearjerker: so many sad, happy, beautiful moments.

The Time-Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
We Are All Welcome Here by Elizabeth Berg--anything by Elizabeth Berg, for that matter.
In the nonfiction arena, John Adams by David McCulloch: the last few chapters.
