Since this is a community on blogging about books I was wondering what everyone is currently reading and blogging about. I love to find new authors and books that others are reading and loving, so I'll start with what I'm currently reading.

I'm currently reading Promise of the Rose by Brenda Joyce.

I have bookmarks in multiple books (per usual). Right now, they include: The Far Pavilions by M.M. Kaye, The Big Rock Candy Mountain by Wallace Stegner, Kristin Lavransdatter II: The Mistress of Husaby by Sigrid Undset, and Outcasts United by Warren St. John. I am working my way through the latter book faster than the others but that is because I'm reading it for review.

I'm currently reading Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg. It's a title I had to read for a fiction class in college, but lately I've found it really useful to kickstart my writing. Each chapter is a few pages, and Goldberg writes in a down-to-earth, conversational way that helps get the creative juices flowing. Perfect for the subway ride on the way to work.

I'm reading Watership Down, by Richard Adams, but it's going to be slow going, as I have a deadline in one week and loads of promo to do.

A friend asked me the other night what the book was about. Just a couple of chapters in, I said I couldn't really judge yet, but it seemed kind of like Lord of the Rings, with bunnies!

Started My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult last night (bad idea - I didn't make it to bed until 2 AM) LOL

My mom is a huge Jodi Picoult fan...she's read nearly all of her books. I guess it's about time for me to check her out.
