Since this is a community on blogging about books I was wondering what everyone is currently reading and blogging about. I love to find new authors and books that others are reading and loving, so I'll start with what I'm currently reading.

I'm currently reading Promise of the Rose by Brenda Joyce.

I am reading a YA book series called daughters of the moon. Being a Christian i am not liking the use of greek gods and godess' but it has been a wonderful series in helping me write my "bad guys" for my book. There are 13 books in this series. I would recommend this book to mid teens.

I just added The Strongbow Saga by Judson Roberts to my TBR pile, my son has raved about this series! I also just finished Axe of Iron, The Settlers by J A Hunsinger, this was really good but definitely not for kids it has some graphic sex and violence. But I really liked it. Both involve Vikings.

I just started The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. The premise is a bit bizzare - neglected boy grows up to become porn star and addict. On drive home one day he loses control of his car, crashes and is burned extensively all over his body. While he is recuperating he decides once he gets out of the hospital he's going to commit suicide. But finds a reason to live... The beginning is very hard to read, because the accident is retold in amazing detail and the therapy in the burn unit is also recounted in detail. But the writing is very good and I am having a hard time putting it down....

The Wind Up Bird Chronicles, Murakami. Would love to have a serious discussion about it with somebody. Great book, not as weird as his "Kafka on the Shore" but more comprehensible.
