Since this is a community on blogging about books I was wondering what everyone is currently reading and blogging about. I love to find new authors and books that others are reading and loving, so I'll start with what I'm currently reading.

I'm currently reading Promise of the Rose by Brenda Joyce.

Right now I'm reading Your Roots Are Showing by Elise Chidley.
I just finished reading Running With Scissors. A friend kept saying I really, really should read it. Finally, last week she said "Please tell me you'll read this book." Having heard so many great things about it, and with my friend basically pushing the book on me like manic dope dealer, I thought it was time. It was a good distraction for my crazy work week with a format that was easy enough to pick up and put down as necessary. But I'm not a big fan of dysfunction to the enth degree. Still, I'd recommend it.
I read the book and liked it, but I could not watch the movie. Too depressing.
His book, Sellevision is good.

I'm finally taking the time to read THE GARGOYLE by Andrew Davidson. It's great so far and I've only just begun. Warning: You need to have a strong stomach for some of the imagry Davidson creates in just the first ten pages. WOW!
Definately some graphic images in this book, I'm only at the beginning but enjoying it so far
The Gargoyle and Sexing the Cherry by Jeanette Winterson
I'm currently reading The Stolen Bride by Brenda Joyce.
Just finished The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy yesterday (very interesting read),
and stumbled on The Life Priorities Calculator by Paul Wilson yesterday so I thought that would be a fun and quick read in between before I will head back to Foreign Babes in Beijing by Rachel DeWoskin in the coming week.

Just finished "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman, awesome!!!
I'm currently reading A Lady at Last by Brenda Joyce.
I am currently reading The Apple You Were Fed by Kimberly Lisowski and Andrea Pouliot. It's absolutely amazing, and I'm recommending it to everyone I see.

It was published by a small press, but it's available here:

I'm reading Hex Appeal by Linda Wisdom. Yesterday, I blogged about the first in her series 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover. A sexy witch, her hot vampire lover, suspense, humor, and man-eating bunny slippers. Fun! My blog is www.lesasbookcritiques.blogspot.com .
