Do Book Trailers Sell Books? Post your book trailer here!

My friend, author Stephen Poleskie, recently had a book trailer made for his book VIGILIA'S TEMPEST. While it had over 700 hits on YouTube in the first months it was up, and has now passed 4300 hits, he is not quite sure how many sales this actually accounted for. Here is the link to his book trailer if you would like to check it out:

Let me know what your opinion is of the effectiveness of book trailers, positive or negative. Please feel free to post your book trailer here if you have one, or someone elses if you wish to comment on it.

Best wishes,

Hi,

I have a book trailer and it has been out for a few days. I'm not sure if it helps. People say that they like it. Does it sale? I don't know yet. I have a debut novel that came out in March. We will see. :)

Patricia

Hi Patricia,

I liked your trailer. Good luck with the book. I'll give it a look.

Best wishes,

Pearson

Thank you. :)

Hi Pamela,

Thanks for posting your trailer. The book looks interesting. I hope that you sell a bunch.

Best wishes,

Hey Pamela,

I just want to say that by watching your book trailer now I want to read the book. I love the music in the back ground and it sums the book up with pictures and words. Great job. I will be looking out for this book!

I think anything that gets people to pay attention generates sales.  It certainly can't hurt.  I will look into it myself.  Any suggestions on how to make a trailer?

HI Irina,

Thanks for posting the comment. Most people seem to use commercial services for their trailers. However, if you check back through the discussion postings, you will find several suggestions on how to make a video trailer and a gentleman offering to help. One woman even recommended a Microsoft program for videos. When I searched through my computer programs file, I found that I had this program preinstalled and never even knew about it. The program looks like it is easy to work with. I plan to try it sometime soon.

Good luck with your trailer. I am looking forward to seeing it here in the near future.

Best wishes,

Pearson

"Gypsy's Meadow"

A horse stands at the corner of the fence as she tells a tale. She shares the stories from her past. The stories of heartbreak, disappointment, and the feeling of finally finding love within her life. She remembered when her life wasn’t as easy as, she struggled to be recognized for who she was. She remembers when a little girl opened her heart and opened up a whole new way of living. She chose her new life, and wants to share it with you; hoping for other horses out there in need, will have a chance to live with love. “Gypsy’s Meadow” is a touching story which tells a tale of other simuliar horses out there that are just plainly looking for a good home. The purpose and mission of this book, is to raise funds for “First Light Farms Equine Shelter”; so other horses can share their “Remember When” and not “Maybe could be.” “Every step we take could be another hoof print left in our hearts.”
