A blog hop is a themed post hosted by one blogger or a group of bloggers. The host posts a question and other bloggers who want to participate answer the same question on their blog (and usually point back to the host).
The host then has a way for all the bloggers who answered to post a link on the host's blog, so that the whole community can connect with others, hopefully gaining followers along the way! :)
I hope that helped!
Lisa, thanks for explaining what a book blog hop is. I had planned this summer to expand beyond book reviews to book themes. Seems as if a book blog hop would fit right in with this idea.
Another question for you (or anyone): How does the host include a way for bloggers who answer their question to post a link on the host's blog? Is this just through a Comment or is there a different method?
Thanks! The site looks useful.
Next question: How does one get participants? Some of these sites have dozens of blog links.
good blogs hmmm...I think a lot of people would say they have a good one. if you want to see what I'm doing here my link.
I do book reviews for kids and post them on Goodreads, but I would be interested in a book review blog hop. I just started to include them here. Haven't checked out my blog page here for adding a chain to it. I do participate in a monthly blog chain on my other blog.
Each week I do interviews with published authors who share their experiences of getting published and give tips from what they’ve learned. If you would like to learn more about writing, you can find them at... http://TheWriteChris.blogspot.com.
