I often get asked about what I am going to sell once the eBook has destroyed the printed book.  Lol.

People are alarmists.  They like to get worked up.  Just watch political commentators or weathermen.

Did the paperback kill the hardbound book? No.

Did digital upload kill the DVD and CD? Granted I have no idea where you could find a VCR tape, but there are still video stores with DVD, Target has a huge section of movies and albums on CD.

Agreed!  (Though VHS tapes might be a goner!)

I don't think the ebook will destroy the printed book simply because as much as we all love things electronic, there is also nothing more wonderul than reading a hard copy. Books have also been around for a hell of a lot longer and while we are very much in the digital age, I think they will continue to be around for a long time.

Amen!

I don't think printed books are going anywhere anytime soon. I also wrote on this topic, at http://yourlibrarycard.blogspot.com/2011/11/whole-kindlenook-thing.....
