My problem is that I've sent a few review copy/arc requests out, and I fill out a lot of what I think they need to know, e.g., Follower count, page views, how long I've been blogging, basic stuff. Then I never get a reply. I send it out, and wait for ages for one word: a yes or a no, but I never get one. Is this a common practice? Am I doing something wrong? Could I be sending them to publishers that are two big for my humble 122 follower blog?
I've sent a few arc/review copy requests to publishers and authors over the last month or two, but I haven't sent one recently.
I have a huge pile, because indie authors like me. I'm just looking to get into some bigger name books, but I know there's a few diamonds in indie publishing. :)
I see, well before I get into those bigger names i'll try to get my TBR list very low. Also I'm not even sure if i'm doing a good job with my reviews. I mean people seek me out to review there books but weather it's a good one I'm not sure. Anyways good luck Megan. I recently tried to get a book in netgalley which is overly popular, I got an instant decline xD sucks.
I requested these books from Netgalley when I had under 200 followers. I was approved for them, so I thought I would pass the titles on to you, since they seem to be okay with new bloggers with low amounts of followers:
League of Strays
Aldo's Fantastical Movie Palace
Summer of the Mariposas
The Assassin's Curse
hmmm.. nice. I'll check them out. I'm more into fantasy/Sci-fi and Dystopian. The book I requested was The Kill order, the Prequal to James Dashner's famous Maze runner trillogy, so I didn't expect much. thanks for the titles!
H, I requested Kill Order too. I got auto-declined, too. They just pulled Quarantine:The Loners last week- that was a sci-fi. Autoapproval for everyone. But, you should probably add the publisher to your metal list since they'll probably have more titles on auto-approve int he future.
