I just commented on another discussion concerning whether the book as we have known it in the past will survive.  This makes me wonder what book stores people have enjoyed in the past.  Where have you enjoyed buying books?  Have you preferred local indie stores, or do you like BIG BOX?

I did a post on this a few days back and said it really depends on quie a few factors as to where you buy your books. I have to say that i'm a Amazon girl through and through but I do sometimes find books in my local second hand book store. My local small book shop seems to mostly cater for children and YA and its a 10 mile drive to the nearest Waterstones which is why I do most of my book shopping online.

Books-a-Million for a commercialized one. BookPeople in Austin is by far my favorite bookstore but I've only been there twice. Supposedly there's an amazing indie store in Denver, but I've never been there. As a teacher I get a great discount at B&N and Borders. I also love Amazon's cheapness.
