Best way to improve a blog is to write the hell out of it! The advantage you seem to have over a lot of other bloggers – present thread company excepted, of course – is that you can clearly string a sentence together. So you've already got a headstart. Just write as often as you can. That aside, images always help. They make posts easier on the eye, and they have the added bonus of increasing the chances of people stumbling across your efforts. Google image searches account for a big part of the hits I get.
