Giveaway Advice!

Hello everybody! I'm a book blogger about to host my very first giveaway over on my blog and would love some advice. What do you think everyone should know about hosting a giveaway? What do you wish you'd known before you hosted your first? How do you promote your giveaways? What other tips/tricks can you suggest?

Giveaways are easier than you think.  They are pretty straight-forward.  I've done about 60 of them so far and love it.  Just figure out what you are going to give away.  Then decide on entries.  Advertise.  Pick winners.  :)

Things I wish I had known:

- Use Rafflecopter!  Great invention.  Free and easy!

- Advertise everywhere.  Facebook, giveaway linkys, twitter, forums, etc.

- Make sure to be up front about how long the winner has to respond - you don't want to have to pick a replacement winner and then hear back from the original one a week later.

www.moneysavingmom.com - they do it on mon or tuesday

www.twoofakindworkingonafullhouse.blogspot.com - tuesday

www.tightwadinutah.com - running list of giveaways with less than 200 entries (posted 7 days before end date)

there is a facebook group for book giveaways - you can search for it
