I see bloggers have a lot of giveaways.. How is that done?  Do you provide the "prize"? Is it donated?Have no idea where to begin and would appreciate some feedback.

Like others have said a lot of the time publishers/authors donate books for giveaway. Or like me you could donate something yourself. A lot of people use Rafflecopter for the easy voting and set up.

Hi Joyce, 

I'm new to book blogging and I'm currently holding my first giveaway. For me, I was contacted by the author who graciously provided the book swag and ebook copy to a lucky winner while at the same time given a guest post at my blog. There are I think other avenues as mentioned by the others below. Hope that helps.

Many authors will donate an item for you to give away. I have donated eBooks and physical books. I use www.RaffleCopter.com to put together my own give away. Great service and it is free!

My blogs new too so I've been shying away from giveaways, blog tours, ect. How big should a blog be before we do these things? How important are they?
