Google Friend Connect question

Hi all,

 

I have to admit I started using the tool Google Friend connect feature when I saw all my Book Blog buddies were. However, I am not sure how to use it most effectively. Anyone care to share how they use GFC? For example I use my facebook fan page by sending out events notices and my blog feeds etc.

I use GFC to network with fellow bloggers and I will be using the Google Newsletter feature to send out to my GFC buddies at http://kristisbooknook.blogspot.com

I think if you put this Gfc button towards the top of your blog people will notice it more and be more likely to use it

This might but a dumb question, but what does the GFC tool do? And when you follow someone's blog what does that actually mean? Do you automatically get their updates or is it just a link listed in your profile?
