Help!!! I need brutal honesty!
I have had my book review blog for over a year now, but I only have 7 followers (and one of those is me!) So if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it. Please check out my blog and let me know what you think. Be brutally honest. What is wrong with it? How can it be better?

I think it looks great, and your reviews are well written. It might be an issue of networking. Have you visited a lot of other blogs and left comments? When you leave a comment can people track you back to your blog?
Many of us have entered memes to draw people to our blogs.
Getting involved in Book Blogs forums helps. Always leave a link to your blog when you comment on a forum.
Post your book lists and reviews on Goodreads and Shelfari.
You now have 8 followers!!! :)

Thank you, this is great advise. Although I am not too sure what memes are, but I will research them out. I checked out your blog, it looks great and it also puts me in mind of some of my favourite children's book. One of my all time favourite it Anne of Green Gables.
I also noticed on your site that you have a section with My Blog List. I was wondering what this is? It seems interesting.

Linda, I've been having trouble loading your page for the past hour. =( I'll try again later so that I can help out with the feedback.
But if someone told me something similar about his stats and asked me for advice based only on that, I'd agree with Kathy and Kathryn that you probably need to network ten times more than you're doing.
How often do you leave comments on other people's blogs? I always visit the blogs of people who leave me comments, and most of the time, it's how I find new blogs to read. This doesn't seem to be a universal practice, though . . . but it's worth trying!
When other people leave you comments, do you respond in some way? You can answer in the thread, return the visit to their blogs, or even send an e-mail. I like friendly, chatty bloggers.
How many other blogs do you follow? There are many bloggers who do "follows for follows."
Are you on Twitter? And so on . . . There are many factors!

I didn't have trouble loading it, but the fact that Enbrethileil did might part of the problem! I don't know how you'd check for that. And getting on Twitter is a great idea...and Facebook!

I just used a proxy server to access the blog, and now I can see it. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's one I've encountered before.
A message board I used to frequent changed servers (or something) and then a huge bunch of regular users couldn't access it. We shut out folk were primarily from Asia and Australia. Until that time, I had only used proxy servers to watch YouTube videos that haven't been cleared for my part of the world; but on a hunch, I typed the board's URL into the field . . . and voila! I was back on the boards.
Again, I'm not sure why this is so. A techie friend tried explaining to me that the problem was with my internet settings and not with the board's server, but of course, I didn't pick up half of it! =P

All of this helps and it lets people see your blog and if interested they will start to follow consistently.
