Help!!! I need brutal honesty!

I have had my book review blog for over a year now, but I only have 7 followers (and one of those is me!) So if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it. Please check out my blog and let me know what you think.  Be brutally honest.  What is wrong with it?  How can it be better?

Thanks for your input. I do have archives on the side panel, but I guess my system isn't very clear so I am going to check into fixing this.  I noticed you have giveaways on your blog, I am going to really study your site and figure out how it all works, and I am planning on entering one.

Hi Linda!  I scanned all the great tips-- if you follow through, your readership will grow in no time. 

 

 I visited your blog, followed and left comments. I'm not big on review only blogs but you read fantasy so I already like you!! ;o)   (and yes, what the others said about adding posts on a variety of bookish topics will add interest and allow you to inject more of your personality into your blog)

 

 Here are my tips to improve your blog that I don't think have been mentioned yet.  

 

Ask a question at the end of your reviews or any post  to encourage discussion.  You are reading an interesting variety of books-- lots of discussion potential-- like the fairy tell retelling book-- you could ask readers: Do you like fairy tale retellings?  If not, why?   If so, which ones do you recommend? Any to avoid? 

 

Also, I couldn't find a 'subscribe to comments' at the bottom of the post when I left a comment.  Readers comment on many blogs and may have a multitude of com-box chats going at any given time.  It is easy to lose track and an email ping of any new comments/replies reminds readers to come back to your blog.

Your blog looks wonderful!  Have you thought of joining one of the many meme or a giveaway hop? 

The giveaway hops cost a little money, but I always get new followers from them.  I just giveaway a book I have recently read or clean off a bookshelf of old stuff and then it just cost shipping which is around $3 for 4 mass media paperbacks.
