I have a blogging friend who is down in the dumps. She wants to read something that will make her giggle and laugh. What do you recommend?

I just recently finished reading "Turning Tables" by Heather and Rose MacDowell. It's about a 20-something who goes from Marketing executive to a waitress in a hoity-toity Mahnattan restaurant, and how she puts her life back together.

"A Year on Ladybug Farm" by Donna Ball isn't supposed to be comical, but I couldn't help but laugh at the story of three women on the cusp of 50 abandon their old lives to start following their life-long dream. As they restore an old farmhouse, they test the limits of their friendship and find that they are stronger than they know. It's simultaneously funny and inspirational.

Cheers!
