I was looking through members and there are TONS of people who have nothing or little in their profiles. This is supposed to be a place for book bloggers yet many don't have blog links at all. There are couple duplicates too.

Please take a minute to fill a few details besides fav book and let us know who you are and why you are here! Then join some groups and answer some forums messages, it's a great place to be!

I've tried but frankly I find the profile part really hard to use. More than half the time the updates I make don't stick.
Really? You've still got your profile filled out more than most do. Interesting use of the widget instead of the default rss to show your blog posts. I noticed you haven't joined any groups, you should consider it!
I couldn't get the default RSS thing to work.
It takes me a while to fill out profiles since I don't want to sound to generic on every profile I sign up for but I'm working on it!
Understandable. I try to make my profile fit more of the type of community it is. So on this ning group my profile says why I started book blogging.
I will echo earlier posters that the RSS feed for these does not seem to work. Right now I'm getting updates via email, and that's WAY too much mail in the box.

Also, consider that many of purposely don't fill out profiles with lots of info until we get a feel for whether this is a group we want to participate in. I dislike splattering myself and my personal information over the internet, so I often enter only the minimum, follow the site for awhile, join in a few activities, and then I'll expand my profile and activities when I decide this is the group for me.
Well the RSS feed worked for me although I don't have it in all ning profiles. I realize some people are new and havnen't gotten to fill out their profiles and some don't want to reveal too much but it just seems a little weird that for a community of book bloggers (and some publishers) there are so many with not even a blog, let alone a book blog. So far no one who has commented here is one of the few I was really thinking of. Like I said there are duplicates too, I think someone should be fixing that.
The UI for these ning sites is very hard to use and I'm saying this w/ 12 years of web design under my belt!
How's this? ;)
