I'm a huge fan of Roman History and am rapidly picking up more books about the Crusades and Viking Conquests than I'm ever likely to find the time for. Glutton for punishment that I am, I'd like to know what anyone else would recommned by way of Historical Fiction.
Apart from that guy who wrote Tyrant, he's bloody awful.
From Romulus and Remus through to Attilla's Conquest and beyond, really. Obviously Caeser counts for a lot but I'm happy to take in as much as possible.
they are sequential (that's the word XD), but follow the history of Caesar and Co so if there's a particular part of Roman History you're not fond of but have knowledge of you won't miss anything but skipping that book.
if you like mysteries as well, Steven Saylor has a long list of Roman Historical Mysteries as well.

I'm more of an asian historical girl however--Empress by Evelyn McCune, The Girl Who Played Go by Shan Sa, Empress Orchid by Anchee Min and Empress by Anchee Min. And also historical 'biblical' books like by Eva Etzoni-Halevy or Marek Halter.
I would also recommend Lindsey Davis' Marcus Didius Falco series. I would also recommend Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome series and Steve Saylor's Roma Sub Rosa series. Oh! And I just read a book by Ruth Downie called Medicus that I enjoyed a lot.
I also recommend Colleen Mccullough's books as well. You might also like the Camulod Chronicles by Jack Whyte that takes place in Roman Britain, following the Arthurian theme. The first book in the series is The Singing Sword.
For Crusades Robin Young Brethren Trilogy (Brethren, Crusades, Requiem) and Jack Whyte's Templar Trilogy (The Knights of Black and White, Standard of Honor, and Order in Chaos) I enjoyed reading them...
