How Can I get readers to review my debut novel on Amazon

I am a thriller writer and my debut novel came out on Amazon last week. I noticed other authors get up to 20 instant reviews. I suspect many of them were genuine but also think they might be friends and family helping out. How can I get reviews without leaning on friends and family?

Any suggestions or info in posts here?

Well you can always ask book reviewers to review your book, there are plenty of reviewers on this site, including me. That's usually how they have so many right away because they give the reviewers copies of the books in advance so the reviews are ready when the book comes out :)Hope this helps!

Synopsis:
Space scientist Carin Gonzales and former submarine commander Jake Sabio are two strangers drifting separately through life when a mysterious explosion rocks them together. Now, the after effects have changed them both in unpredictable ways. Sometimes they can see better than before the explosion, other times they can smell more precisely and they move in ways that are clearly impossible. These and other changes come with a price. To make matters worse, everyone else who felt the effects of the explosion is now inexplicably dead.

Time is running out for Gonzales and Sabio. An infection from the explosion is slowly killing them and the Center for Disease Control would like to lock them up in a lab for study. Due to a tenuous string of seemingly unrelated events, Special Agent Will Greenfield wants them for questioning. In addition, contract killer Antonio Crubari would be happy if they would just hurry up and make themselves dead, and he’s willing to speed up that process.

A solution to their dilemma must be found quickly, but the more Gonzales and Sabio look for an answer, the more they are convinced they have run across something never before experienced by humankind. How are they going to resolve their problem when all indications are that the cure is not on our planet?

Look for bloggers here that blog and read your genre. Talk to them about reviewing your book! Many of them would likely to be happy to review it.

Sure Isabella. I would be honored and it may be kismet as I live on the shores of Lake Isabella in Southern Ca. If you want to review my novel on Amazon and on Barnes and Noble and Smashwords, by that I meen cut and paste it in as a review on all three sites after posting it on yours, it would be even better. Reviews on blogs are great and I can tweet them and post on FB an Lindekin, but the reviews found on the big for sale sites help sales the best. I can give you a free code to download from Smashwords. My book is only in ebook but supports all devices there. I would also love to do an interview at the same time or later. I will take what I can get so let me know one way or the other.

Asking bloggers is for sure the best way to do it. Also ask them for interviews or posting your guest post... And the best thing, a giveaway of your book :) It's amazing and fun way to promote it!
