How Can I get readers to review my debut novel on Amazon

I am a thriller writer and my debut novel came out on Amazon last week. I noticed other authors get up to 20 instant reviews. I suspect many of them were genuine but also think they might be friends and family helping out. How can I get reviews without leaning on friends and family?

Any suggestions or info in posts here?

Thanks Donna. I was wondering how so many people could read your novel so fast. Lol. Having ARC's would have been useful. Ebook release is different of course. Great advice. Now I need to get busy and reach those reviewers. Will they post on Amazon etc. or just on their respective blogs? If so it is all well and good. But I think the reviews on sale sites get more views.
Thanks Donna for helping in this effort.

I will certainly review your book on amazon and on my website if you Subscribe to become a member of my new website!  A little about me. I'm 22 and I am just trying to live my dreams and make it. I don't come from much and am doing everything I can to make my website a success. I promise to get my review up on both amazon and my website (www.thebookbubbles.com) within a week of your subscription!

Thank you very much,

Shiri

Will do. Thank you

Well, just ask. Write people a personal message asking them if they could read your book and review it for you. You may also offer them a return review. But also bear in mind that a thriller is not a very general read, it has a special audience. I personally would not tend naturally to read a thriller much more write a review, unless someone requested it personally and I had some extra time to spare.

I am finding that out. Special genre with a special audience. Many of whom do not review

I found a lot of my reviewers on amazon and the way I got them is by searching the same genre book as my mines. I then click on their reviewers and then it leads me to the reviewer profile and some of them have their website and email address. I was able to get two book club to read my book at their next book club!

That is a brilliant idea. Thank you Melissa

Best of all -- it's 100% FREE. Enjoy! :-)

Thanks so much,

Thank you so much for linking to that thread!

I'm so impressed by how generous people on these forums are with their time and thoughts! Keep it up everyone!

Would anyone here be interested in reviewing a new science fiction novel called 'Particle Horizon'?

It's out now on Amazon - no reviews yet :( I'd be very happy to give anyone interested a free kindle copy (or any other format needed) in exchange for a review on Amazon and Goodreads.
