Hello there!
I am new member Book Blogs. I have decided to take the niche of book blogging just recently, and I am really ecstatic to find a site like this wherein you'll be able to connect with bloggers and authors from across the globe!
However, I am wondering, how do you guys have authors or publishers offer a book for you to review? Do you ask and personally approach them? Are there any requirements or requests you need to send? If there are, where?
I am sorry if I sound like a wandering vagabond, but the truth is, I really am. And I am hoping that any of you can help me. I would take everything you will advice whole-heartedly.
Thank you so much in advance!
Rhea

Hi there, (I'm a wandering vagabond type as well) I've got an ebook out at the moment - it's an adventure story for children ages 8-12 would you reviewing this be an idea???

Hello!
To be honest, they just email me first usually, but I sometimes ask for a review copy :) I usually use Netgalley though. Amazing site! You can try blog tours pages too.
try to add yourself to few blog reviewers lists and add a contact and review policy page on your blog. :)

I've never had any trouble getting review copies myself. I wrote a few reviews based on books I owned then indie authors started sending me in review requests. I then got onto NetGalley and have only been turned down once. They key is providing lots of information about your reach (even if it's small, say where you cross-post to).
You can also try goodreads and librarything for ARC giveaways.
The main thing is to remember is that you need to make people aware that you are out there.
hiee! Nice to meet you Rhea..! Can we be Friends because even i am new here..:) :D

Hi Rhea!
I'm Michelle. 5 days member of this site and a month old blogger. Don't worry--we have the same questions and problems.
Saw your thread and read it along with the replies; it's really helpful. I was asking some bloggers, too. Though I don't ask a lot of them because like you, I'm worried I might sound clueless.
I got the same answers (like you did on this thread). They say that you have to gain more followers and been blogging for months or so to make publishers send you books. Well, it will take some time, but I'm going to try it. As long as one day, they'll approve and send me.
Anyway, my blog's Michelle Shouts Random. Hope you drop by and follow if you have time. If you do, tell me so I can follow you back. Let's get more followers! :)
Michelle

Thank you so much for all the answers! I am currently checking out all the sites/ pieces of advice you all have given. For the time being, three authors have shown interest on sending me copies of their works and everything is under negotiation. Thanks a lot people!
