Hey guys, just curious on how people get their word out about giveaways? The usual tweeting about it usually doesn't get much word out for me. I also added my giveaway on the meme hosted by Lori from Pure Imagination and Candace's Book Blog, Saturday Situation, but it hasn't been getting any attention. Is there a better way to get the word out?
My current giveaway is an e-book of Bloodlines by Lindsay Anne Kendal if anyone is interested, please go to this link: Livin' Life Through Books.
Thanks!

I started a new facebook page calledWIN A BOOK where you are free to post your giveaways daily!
You can also post author events and anything else book related. It is almost up to 400 likes now, but the feed gets amplified since it shows up on all the members' home pages.
I tweet about my giveaways daily as well-- at least when I remember!
It is always a good idea to give people extra entries for spreading the word as well.

Thanks great Idea!

Cool, thanks for the tip!
Permalink Reply by Jill Elizabeth on October 25, 2011 at 1:00pm It's tough - I use the forums and groups on here, as well as mentioning it on Twitter, FB, GoodReads, and my blog... Sometimes it works, but sometimes not so much. Honestly, I think there are a lot more giveaways lately, which is making it less of a big deal for people to see the words "GIVEAWAY!"...
That said, I still do them. :)
So be sure to check out my latest book review and giveaway - "What About the Boy" is a lovely tribute to the power of a parent’s love and to their refusal to give up hope for their disabled son Joseph.
The contest - available at: http://blog.jill-elizabeth.com/2011/10/25/book-review-and-giveaway-... - runs through November 8.
Good luck!

Permalink Reply by Laurie on October 26, 2011 at 10:51am I do a lot of mine through goodreads. It's a great source for bloggers and authors. I have a few groups that helps in getting the word out and you can always send out a event to your friends so they can see what you have to offer.

However, there is a new promotional concept that is just starting. You can check it out...It might be just what your're looking for. You can pick and choose exactly what you want to spotlight, a blog post, a book review, a special event, your FB page, your Twitter account, etc.
