How do you keep track of the books you've read?

Recently I was visiting my brother and sister-in-law when I noticed their calendar. On the bottom of each calendar page my sister-in-law had written every book she read that month. This lead to an interesting discussion as to how each of us keep track of the books we read.

I, myself, prefer a journal. I list the book, author and how many pages I read. My goal is to see how many pages I read each year.

What about you? Do you have a unique or interesting way to keep track of all the books you read?

I keep track on the Goodreads social networking site for readers!
I keep track in LibraryThing - most get reviewed on my site but not all of them do. Each month I create a .csv file of what's in my library and put it in my palm so when I go the bookstore I don't buy a second copy of a book.
Now that's a good idea! I have a palm centro phone. I think I'll do one for my wishlist also.
I have never done anything to keep track. I've always just used my memory to tell me if I've read something or not. Unfortunately, this leads to me sometimes getting 50 pages into a book and thinking "hmmm....this seems familiar." I was recently introduced to Library Thing and am totally in love with it, so I plan on using that. It's just a tedious project.
Sigh. I get a bit OCD about this. I have it written down in a small book, plus I track it on paperbackswap and on goodreads. And then I also review the book usually. So.. it's VERY WELL documented! :)
an excel spreadsheet which I keep on the PDA I always have with me. Great also for movies.
:) I use my blog to keep track

That's really interesting...

I have no technique right now I just remember them all.

But I am going to start writing them all down in my moleskin notebook that I love so much!! :D
I count page number for two reasons:
1. I also count the number of books I read. Sometimes people are like "You only read (fill in the blank) books last year?" So I wanted credit for finishing those 700-1,000 page novels!

2. I'm a big advocate for never finishing a book you dislike. There are some many authors, writing styles and genres that they're not all going to appeal to you. If I force myself to read a book that is "horrible" then it actually turns me off to reading for a while. I'm slower at finishing a forced novel than when i'm reading something I enjoy. But if I read half the book before I decide I don't like the it, I should get SOME credit for reading it, right???
