How do you market your giveaways?

I am just curious. I have hosted several giveaways now and never had more then maybe 15 people enter. I have posted on some groups on here and of talked about it on my blog. I switched to using google docs, b/c i know i use google reader and love when i can enter a giveaway right from my google reader. 

So, any tips or tricks on how to get people to enter? I don't want to make people jump through hoops just to enter. I try to make it easy, name, email, and and an extra entry if you are a follower.

Hi Rebecca. I've gotten quite a few people enter my book giveaways by posting Events on both Facebook and Myspace. If you have either or both of those you can post an event with the giveaway and guidelines. Hope this helps some. =)

Yes i do announce it. I don't really use twitter. Maybe I should.

I've started using Twitter in the past few weeks and have found it to be pretty good. Used Facebook for about a year and got some results, but Twitter seems to be better. Have increased traffic to my website by about three times using Twitter. It takes a little while to get the hang of Twitter but seems well worth the effort.

Have you heard of "Link a Contest Thursday?" It's a meme hosted by http://www.bookworminginthe21stcentury.com/ It lets others know about your giveaways and contests. You should check it out.
