I'm not sure how this all works so I'll need a little guidance. First let me introduce myself, I'm Frederick (Rick) Coxen and a first time author. My book "The Great Promise" is my first book and I'm self-publishing. I've joined "Book Blogs" to share my story, and for those that are interested, an opportunity to review my manuscript prior to printing. So, how do I proceed from here?

Hi, Frederick.
You should join the groups that fit into your genre and offer your book for free to get volunteer reviewers. I find that most people are very eager to help and would gladly review your book. I hope this helps. I wish you much luck with your book.

Thanks for responding! You're the first person to actually posted information regarding my questions.
My book hasn't been printed yet so I was hoping to get a few reviews so that I could add them to the book before publishing. Any suggestions? I would be willing to, and said that anyone that would review my manuscript would receive a book before they went on sale.
Again Thanks

I agree with Irina. Yesterday, I joined a couple of other groups that sounded interesting to me. Let people know if it is an e-book or regular book. Good luck.

Like you I joined a couple of groups that seemed appropriate and haven't received a response. I took Irina's suggestion and just joined a historical fiction site "Historical Fantasies", perhaps this is the answer. Thanks for your input.
Hi. I think you should just publish your book and go from there. If you self-publish on Amazon, you can join their KDP program where they give you up to 5 promotion days where you give your book away for free. It puts your work out there and usually gets reviews, not always good ones through, LOL. Hope that helps.
